Introducing...

I received such fabulous title ideas for my African Wildcat - thank you to everyone that shared their ideas! Before I share the new title, click below to watch the ever-impressive time lapse video of the creation of this watercolour piece.

Done? Okay then -- In no particular order, here are a few of my favourite title suggestions: "Bush Shadow", “Tau” (meaning lion), “Silent Pause”, “Kamilah” (Egyptian for perfect), "Paws and Reflect", “Felix” (from Felis, referring to the genus of small cats), "Purrfection", “Satara” (I photographed this cat in the Satara camping site!), "Desert Rose", “Tladi” (Setswana for wildcat), “Wild and Free”, “My sunbeam is getting closer… and closer…”, “Esmeralda”, "Stealth", “Ginger”…

But my favourite, and now the title for Kitty: “Whisker me away”

This wonderful idea is the brainchild of Zani, who has won herself a set of three Downloadable Wall Art illustrations! I looove a good pun! Apart from just being really clever, it also makes me think back to the moment when we spotted the cat - the way it had us in total rapture! And how it then just disappeared like mist before the sun… It was surreal and whimsical and exciting and it just whisked us away!

"Whisker me away" is now available in my online shop. The one-of-a-kind, framed original is still looking for its forever home (come see it in person at the last Kirstenbosch Craft and Food Market for the season on 30 April!), and I also have only 20 limited edition, fine art prints up for grabs.
