Reading corners at Fisantekraal Primary

Reading corners at Fisantekraal Primary

April is World Book Day. As part of The One Percent Movement (the non-profit that I work for), we created reading corners in the five grade one classes of Fisantekraal Primary this month.

Each class was gifted a colourful bookcase, a carpet for the kiddies to sit on while reading and of course a big stash of fabulous books!

In partnership with my fabulous printers, Comprint in Stellenbosch, and driven by my personal love for reading and wildlife (and to continue giving back during my business' birthday month!), I donated five laminated SA Animal Alphabet posters that have also been added to the reading corners.

We received fantastic feedback from the teachers: The kids are super excited and already getting so much joy from the reading corners! Remember - most of these kids do not have books at home at all! Can you imagine what wonderful stimulation and learning these reading corners will bring?!

Read more about this incredible reading corner outreach project (and the amazing people that happened across our path) here.

If you would like to sponsor a SA Animal Alphabet poster to gift to a school, creche, daycare, or even an individual, please get in touch!
