Yup, it's that time of year again!
A time where I not only laugh at myself, but I allow the world to laugh with me (or is it at me???).
I’m trying to convince myself that my selfie skills have steadily improved since last year - my collection is smaller! Is it?? In the very least, it's slightly less cringe-worthy. Hey, I did say that I was trying to convince myself!
What may tip the scale is this: A few months ago, I filmed tutorials for my calendar (showing how this unique product can be repurposed after use)… I’m afraid that the blooper reel is a disastrous collection of awkwardness - everything that you would have come to expect from my annual Best Worst Selfie collection. Only now, it’s been immortalised in video! Oh joy…
Without further ado, I give you my Best Worst Selfies for 2023:
Last year, my Word of the Year was "Rethink". I attempted to take some thinking-selfies for social media, which delivered a fabulous collection of dorky facial expressions.
The classic dropped-the-phone selfie, while photographing me and "Whisker Me Away", my African Wildcat.
Note to self: Do not take selfies on windy days... Again with the wildcat!!!
This collection would not be the same without some can't-fit-my-enormous-head-ito-my-selfies. With "Almost Home" on the right, and a halfway-there "Nit-picking" on the right.
Aaaand, of course the just-switched-on-my-camera-but-the-view-is-flipped selfie...
